Oliver Haarman

Partner

Prior to co-founding Searchlight, Oliver was a Partner at Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co.L.P. ("KKR"), based in London. He helped build out KKR’s European operations, oversaw the communications and media industry efforts and played a leading role in a number of successful investments. Before joining KKR, Oliver worked for various firms in the investment industry in the US and Europe. Oliver graduated from Brown University with a dual BA degree in History and International Relations, and completed his MBA at the Harvard Business School.

Erol Uzumeri

Partner

Prior to co-founding Searchlight, Erol led the global private equity business of the Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan ("OTPP"), where he oversaw a large investment portfolio and a team of investment professionals with offices in Toronto, London and New York. Erol oversaw, led or was involved with a number of OTPP’s most significant direct investments in North America and Europe and led the establishment of several newly-formed private equity firms. Before joining OTPP, Erol worked at CVC International and Citigroup in London, New York and Toronto. Erol received a BASc in Industrial Engineering from the University of Toronto, an MSc in Finance from London Business School and is a graduate of the Institute of Corporate Directors.

Eric Zinterhofer

Partner

Prior to co-founding Searchlight, Eric was co-head of the media and telecommunications investment platform at Apollo Management, L.P. ("Apollo"). He was a leader in Apollo’s private equity/distressed debt-for-control effort and was involved in the initial hiring and building of its commodities investing platform. He played a key role at Apollo in initiating/leading investments in a range of cable, satellite, and wireless providers and operators in North America, Europe and India. Before joining Apollo, Eric held positions at Morgan Stanley and J.P. Morgan. Eric received a dual degree in Honors Economics and European History from the University of Pennsylvania, and completed his MBA at Harvard Business School.

François Dekker

Prior to joining Searchlight, Mr. Dekker worked as a Principal at Bain Capital. He started his career at Morgan Stanley in 1999. Mr. Dekker received an MA from the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland.

Andrew Frey

Prior to joining Searchlight, Mr. Frey worked as a Managing Principal at Quadrangle Group, and also held positions at TPG Capital and Blackstone. He started his career at Lehman Brothers in 1997. Mr. Frey received a BS and BAS from the University of Pennsylvania.

Darren Glatt

Prior to joining Searchlight, Mr. Glatt worked as a Partner at Apollo, and also held positions at Apax Partners and The Cypress Group. He started his career at Bear, Stearns & Co. Inc. in 1998. Mr. Glatt received a BS from The George Washington University, and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Eric Sondag

Prior to joining Searchlight, Mr. Sondag worked as a Vice President at GTCR Golder Rauner. He started his career at Wasserstein Perella in 1998. Mr. Sondag received a BSc from Georgetown University, and completed the Executive Management Program at INSEAD.

Fabrizio Zappaterra

Prior to joining Searchlight, Mr. Zappaterra worked as a Senior Principal at Apollo, and also held positions at Silver Point Capital, Lion Capital and JP Morgan Partners/The Beacon Group LLC. He started his career at Wolfensohn & Co. in 1996. Mr. Zappaterra received a BA and BS from the University of California, San Diego, and an MBA from Stanford Business School.

Timothy Austin

Prior to joining Searchlight, Mr. Austin worked as an Associate at Morgan Stanley, and a Portfolio Analyst at Highland Capital Management. He started his career at Rothschild. Mr. Austin received a BA from Bates College.

Phil Bacal

Prior to joining Searchlight, Mr. Bacal worked as an Associate at Catalyst Capital. He started his career at Credit Suisse. Mr. Bacal received an HBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario.

Christopher Cruz

Prior to joining Searchlight, Mr. Cruz worked as a Senior Associate at Oaktree. He started his career at UBS. Mr. Cruz received an HBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario.

Flavio Porciani

Prior to joining Searchlight, Mr. Porciani worked as an Analyst at Blackstone. He started his career at Credit Suisse. Mr. Porciani received a BSc from the European Business School (EBS), Germany / Argentine Business University (UADE), Argentina.

Marion Rabate

Prior to joining Searchlight, Ms. Rabate worked as an Associate in the Goldman Sachs Special Situations Group. Ms. Rabate received an MEng and MSc from the Ecole des Mines de Paris, France.

Adam Reiss

Prior to joining Searchlight, Mr. Reiss worked as an Associate at Silver Lake Partners. He started his career at Goldman Sachs. Mr. Reiss received a BBA from the Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan.

John Yantsulis

Chief Financial Officer

Prior to joining Searchlight, Mr. Yantsulis was the CFO at Reservoir Capital, having previously served as Senior Manager at PwC. He started his career at Grant Thornton. Mr. Yantsulis received a BSc and Grad. DPA (CA) from McGill University. He is a CPA, CA and CFA.

Emily Melchior

Prior to joining Searchlight, Ms. Melchior worked as an Associate at Lazard. Ms. Melchior received a BA from William Smith College.

Mindy Liu

Senior Controller

Prior to joining Searchlight, Ms. Liu worked as a Vice President, Finance at EdgeStone Capital Partners, and as an Analyst at CIBC. She started her career at Merrill Lynch HSBC Canada Inc. Ms. Liu received a BA from York University, and an MBA from the Schulich School of Business.

Lina Gospodinova

Prior to joining Searchlight, Ms. Gospodinova worked as a Business Analyst at Vale. She started her career at KPMG. Ms. Gospodinova received a BA from Sofia University and is an ACCA and CGA.
