The pair add significant industry experience to Searchlight’s team
New York, 28th October 2020: Searchlight Capital Partners, L.P. (“Searchlight” or “the Firm”), a leading global private investment firm, today announced the appointment of two new senior advisors, Elizabeth G. Chambers and Dr. David Klein.
Libby Chambers has significant experience as a senior financial services executive, strategist, and marketing leader. Her career has had a strong focus on the payments industry, where she has extensive strategy and product leadership experience across a wide range of customer segments and C2B, C2C, and B2B channels. She currently serves on the boards of TSB Bank plc, Provident Financial Group plc, Hastings Group plc, and Tilney Smith & Williamson. Previously, she was Executive Vice President, Chief Strategy, Product and Marketing Officer for Western Union. Previous roles include serving as Chief Marketing Officer of Global Retail and Commercial Banking at Barclays and Barclaycard, also leading its co-branded cards business. She also held C-level marketing and strategy roles with Bank of America and Freshfields. She is a former Partner in the Financial Institutions and Organization practices at McKinsey.

Dr. Klein is a highly experienced healthcare private equity operating partner who is also a practicing academic critical care physician at the University of Toronto and an audit board member for the Ontario Health Sector. He was previously an advisor to another private equity firm where he served as CEO Partner from 2007-2020. He formerly held roles as Executive in Residence at the Li Ka Shing Knowledge Institute and senior policy advisor to the Ontario Ministry of Health. He is also a former consultant, having co-founded McKinsey’s Canadian Healthcare Practice and was a member of the North American healthcare practice.
